United States Air Force Academy Silver Eagle Inserts
2010 United States Air Force Academy Insert (coin sold separately)
The Silver Eagle Coin Company is pleased to offer FREE United States Air Force Academy silver eagle inserts. These inserts are designed to fit inside the "coins flips" supplied with our uncirculated silver eagles, such as item number 2010SE.
Air Force Academy tradition dictates that each newly commissioned Officer present a Silver Dollar to the first person to render a salute to the new officer. The Silver Dollar must be a full size silver dollar coin (no Susan B. Anthony or Sacagawea dollars or regular issue copper-nickel Ike dollars). It is customary that the Silver Dollar be one with some significance, usually minted in the year of Commissioning or an anniversary of the Officer's Birth Year. Thus a Cadet being Commissioned in 2010 might give out a new US Silver Eagle Dollar dated 2010.
Silver eagles also make wonderful gifts to honor anyone in the Military or Armed Forces. Simply purchase the desired coins using the above links and then download the free color inserts by clicking this link (MS Word file). Simply edit the name on the desired insert, print to a color printer, and trim to fit inside the coin flip.
