This is an AU/BU (almost uncirculated to brilliant uncirculated) Eisenhower Copper-Nickel Dollar dated 1972.

The Eisenhower or "Ike" dollar was only produced from 1971 to 1978 and is very popular with collectors. Ike dollars that were produced for general circulation were made from copper-nickel alloy and contain no silver. Of course, these coins have disappeared from general circulation many years ago and are difficult to find.

Makes a great (and affordable) gift or is a perfect "tooth fairy" coin. Most kids have never seen such a large coin from the "old days"!
